February-Crappie and Panfish 1st-14th March-Catfish 1st-14th April-Speckled Trout 1st-14th Ed Allen’s Bass Tournament Two days May 1/2 (In-Person Event) May-Bluefish 1st-14th May-Striped Bass 17th-30th June-Cobia 1st-14th June-Snakehead 17th-30th July-Flounder 1st-14th July-Sheepshead and Spadefish 17th-30th August-Large Mouth Bass 1st-14th August-Redfish 17th-30th September-Charity Tournament 25th October-Speckled Trout 1st-14th November-Pot luck- Every weekend (only weekends) for the month of November. Just about any fish counts (Red, Trout, Striper, Spot, Croaker, Oyster toad, Flounder, Black Sea Bass, Blue, etc) Can only count two for each species and only the top 10 fish entered count. December-Striper 1st-14th Changes: No GPS requirements. Can upload using digital camera. Rules are listed in Iangler (no more PDF versions). Fish grippers allowed for certain events (please see rules for more details). TOURNAMENT DATE: September 25, 2021 MANDATORY Captains Meeting Friday evening, Sept. 24th, at 7:00 p.m. @ Lake Wright Convention Center 6280 Northhampton Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502 TO BENEFIT HEROES ON THE WATER & PROJECT HEALING WATERS www.heroesonthewater.org/home www.projecthealingwaters.org Location: Anglers may fish anywhere in Virginia provided it is open to the public and is public access (launches). No private ponds, lakes, military bases, etc. Tournament Headquarters: Lake Wright Convention Center 6280 Northhampton Blvd., Norfolk, VA (at intersection of I-64 & Northhampton Blvd) Special TKAA room rates available. Entry Fee: $75.00 per angler on or before Sept 12th. $85 per angler after Sept. 13th. Youth price is $40 per angler. 16th Annual TKAA Kayak Fish for Charity Tournament benefiting Heroes on the Water & Project Healing Waters.
TOURNAMENT DATE: September 26, 2020 to Benefit: HEROES ON THE WATER & PROJECT HEALING WATERS This is a non-profit event and net proceeds will benefit Heroes on the Water & Project Healing Waters. These are two great organizations that use kayak fishing as a means to help rehabilitate our wounded warriors. Men and woman from these groups will participate in our tournament and your support is crucial. TKAA Angler of the Year
TKAA is bringing back the TKAA Angler of the Year for 2020! Here is how it’s going to work: Starting March 1st you will receive 10 points for just entering any TKAA iAngler online tournament or the 4th Annual Bass Tournament and 16th Annual Charity Tournament. Or any other tournament that may “pop up” during 2020. Then top 5 anglers in each tourney will receive:1st place will receive 50 points2nd place will receive 40 points3rd place will receive 30 points4th place will receive 20 points5th place will receive 10 points TKAA will also use the same scale to award points for Chickhominy Bass Tournament & 16th Annual Charity Tournament!
