Good Morning,

I have been kayak fishing in FL for a few years. I moved to VA in 2017 and haven’t been able to do any saltwater fishing since I’ve been here and I’m looking to get back into it. The problem is I have no idea where to start looking. I live in Stafford and hav driven down the coast but just seems to be just continuous private property with not many places for someone like me to access the water. I was wondering if anyone has any pointers on where I can put in that has quality fishing. I’m more than happy to make the drive down to somewhere like VA Beach if I need to. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the group. This is still a work in progress, so excuse the mess, and the growing pains.

The first thing I would do is point you to the facebook page. There is quite a bit of information there. https://www.facebook.com/tkaava/

This dude here is a great source of information https://www.facebook.com/NautiFishOutfitters/

For locations to fish in the tidewater area is easy. Find a public boat ramp. Just google public boat ramps in Virginia. Rudee Inlet seems to be a very popular place to fish. York River in Yorktown/Gloucester is great as well.

Hope this helped.
